situationawareness.as contains an enum entry for _item ,a KnownItem class,and keeps an array of known_items. And the only other times known_items are accessed is to file them into an array but never to be used again.
Now in enemycontrol.as like 1278 has some code for finding the nearest weapon using this array, however it's been commented out since alpha 226 I think. And replaced with a GetNearestPickupableWeapon function elsewhere. But this new function doesn't use the known_item array .
So maybe the entire part of the situation class could remove iterating through arrays and storing items that never get used by anything and increase performace a tiny bit?
also const float _interest_inertia = 0.96f; seems to be referenced by nothing.
