Enshrouded server cannot be found from in-game browser #176
Comments
Did you forward your ports on your router? I was hosting a server with a different tool and I could see it in the steam server browser, but no one could join until I opened the correct ports on my router. |
Yes. I even included the screenshot showing as much. |
What about Windows Firewall? Did you create a rule there for enshrouded_server.exe, or did it ask you to allow when it first ran? |
Windows Firewall is disabled. |
Sounds like everything is set. Maybe test if a friend can add it to their favorites in the steam server browser with your public IP address and configured port. |
this is a known issues on most servers if you set everything properly, try to go to Steam Launcher > View (Top menu) > Game Servers > + button (Bottom right) then add your server with IP:PORT if you are using 15636 (UDP) as gameport you should input 15637 instead because thats what steam getting and its TCP when you port forward query port, please create this issue on my plugin instead here, WGSM doesnt need to do anything with my plugin |
it is better to enable all dont restrict yet if you are in test mode so you know where the issues lies on |
I am running WindowsGSM using the Enshrouded plugin. I've configured it using the enshrouded_server.json and the WindowsGSM.cfg file. The server itself runs and I can see it from the in-game browser, and join the server, but no one else can.
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
I am expecting to see my server in the in-game browser. I am able to see it on my version of the game, but two other people who search for the game server are not.
Thank you so much.
