Enable the OS to reset/recover from deadlocks

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
The deadlocks seem to be not detected as an OS exception or a crash, so the device never attempts to reset/recover.

Describe the solution you'd like
To be able to detect when a deadlock happened, as well as, to reset/recover from it.

Additional context
There are a few deadlock issues that can be used to reproduce deadlocks and to evidence that when it happens, the OS doesn't attempt to reset/recover:
