I made some slight changes to the format of _config.yml, where the main og_image is listed, and then tested it on two different card validators and Signal. The card validators incorrectly show the RWOT image as a large image, the Signal correctly shows it as a small image. And Twitter continues to not show it all, which did not used to be the case.

So, I have to assume that Musk broke yet something else in recent weeks. I'm going to explore more on good ways to force this as a square side/small image.
