It's great you can load files using :e but I would love it if you tab-completion worked for file names.

I agree. I've missed having this many times. Will try to get this soon

Is there any chance that this will happen? I just started using VsVim and thanks for making it. Considering this feature request has been open with no comments for over 3 years, is it something I shouldn't hope for?

👍 And (eventually) not only for :e, but for any command that takes a file argument.

Agreed. Tab completion with :vsp path/to/file is a normal part of my workflow that I'd love to have in VsVim.

how are you guys opening files without that?

My file path is pretty long so I tried changing to the path to the current file open but the following commands don't work.
:cd %:p:h
or
:set autochdir

@lebster I don't open files with :e because of this. I open them with Resharper CTRL-T.

It seems that VS2013 has a Ctrl+; shortcut to jump to filtering the solution explorer, but it's far from perfect and I suspect it causes a bug with VsVim. I can't be certain its VsVim choking, but when closing files opened with this technique in a row using :q it can show a dialog for a null dereference...

+1, I'm always typing :e or :b and then realizing I have to remember the full filename

I know it's been a while, but this is the feature I miss the most in VsVim by far. Mentioning it in case it helps to give it a bump!
