Cannot remap search command in visual mode

Describe the bug
The following keybinding does not work in VsVim:

xnoremap / v/

To Reproduce
Add the keybinding, and enter search from visual mode

Expected behavior
Exit visual mode and do search like in normal mode.

Screenshots
Instead, search prompt is started (but no slash appears) and characters entered are interpreted in reverse, and with slashed in between.

• VsVim version: latest
• Programming Language: any
• Check(Type 'x') any that are installed:
  • ReSharper
  • Visual Assist
