If you encounter an issue while using SteamOS, first search the issue list to see if it has already been reported. Include closed issues in your search. Some issues may have already been reported to other trackers, so it may be worth checking the following:
- Steam for Linux for Steam Client issues
- [Dota 2] (https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Dota-2/issues) for issues regarding Dota 2.
- [HalfLife] (https://github.com/ValveSoftware/halflife/issues) for issues regarding Half-Life 1 engine (GoldSrc) games.
- [Source-1 Games] (https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Source-1-Games/issues) for issues regarding Source games (HL2, TF2, CS:S, etc)
If it has not been reported, create a new issue with at least the following information:
- a short, descriptive title;
- a detailed description of the issue, including any output from the command line;
- steps for reproducing the issue; and
- your system information.*
Please place logs either in a code block (press M in your browser for a GFM cheat sheet) or a gist. Information on log locations what what do with them, can be found on wiki. If the logs and/or system information are lengthy, please place them into a GitHub Gist.
