What

  • Reaper handles a dataset enable event
  • Dataset enable should enable the cronjob for the dataset

Why

Reaper currently supports a dataset disable event, which disables the Quantum scheduler (the cronjob) for the dataset and prevents it from continuing to ingest. What it does not support is a dataset enable event, which means that disabling an event is irreversible.

Notes

  • Should this card include work to allow Andi's UI to emit these?
  • If so, should Andi also display the enabled/disabled status of a dataset?
