<p>This module is deprecated and will be removed in a future release,
when OpenGL is replaced by Metal and Vulkan.
Use the graphics API independent <a class="reference internal" href="gpu.html#module-gpu" title="gpu"><code class="xref py py-mod docutils literal notranslate"><span class="pre">gpu</span></code></a> module instead.</p>

<p>This module wraps OpenGL constants and functions, making them available from
within Blender Python.</p>
<p>The complete list can be retrieved from the module itself, by listing its
contents: dir(bgl). A simple search on the web can point to more
than enough material to teach OpenGL programming, from books to many
collections of tutorials.</p>
<p>Here is a comprehensive <a class="reference external" href="https://www.khronos.org/developers/books/">list of books</a> (non free).
<a class="reference external" href="https://learnopengl.com/">Learn OpenGL</a> is one of the best resources to learn modern OpenGL and
<a class="reference external" href="http://www.opengl-tutorial.org/">opengl-tutorial.org</a> offers a set of extensive examples,
including advanced features.</p>
