From my playthroughs, it seems like monsters are given conditions at the end of the round, even if the technique that imposed them was the first technique used in the round.
Describe the solution you'd like
Would it be possible for conditions to be imposed immediately after the technique? Some techniques will still have their effects occur at the end of the round (e.g. wasting, poisoned, and the damage component of burn) but otherwise I think it's more intuitive and makes for more interesting gameplay if the condition occurs immediately.
Hope this is feasible, let me know what you think.

I don't know if it's the same thing I noticed, but check again after the #1851 has been merged.
We need to split statuses and techniques to do something like this.
I've just been playtesting again, and it seems like this problem might have re-emerged - or perhaps it occurs only some of the time?
In a fight with an Aardorn, it used Hibernate but didn't get the Dozing Off symbol until the end of the round. In another Aardorn fight, it used Tonguespear but my Agnite didn't get the Lifeleech symbol until the end of the round.
There also might be a minor inconsistency with Dozing keeping the Nodding Off symbol - I haven't seen the Dozing symbol appear.
