They are possible, but they have lots of limitations due to complexity, and cloud variable limits (limits are mainly on scratch. turbowarp has increased some limits to make it easier to make cloud projects)

scratch has a cloud variable limit of 256 characters, and since only 10 cloud variables (or the same one) can be updated at the same time, scratch's could variable limit is 2560 characters per second, and turbowarp's one is not specific, but we do know that it is a lot more then scratch's one.
so you could easily make one cloud variable with
[LENGTH OF LIST ITEM #] [LIST ITEM #] [LENGTH OF LENGTH OF LIST ITEM] [LENGTH OF LIST ITEM] [LIST ITEM CONVERTED TO NUMBERS]
(note: if you only need items with a length less then 10, then you wont need the length of length of list item, and if you need to share items that have a length of higher then 999999999 (nine nines) then you should add the length of length of length of list item and if that length of length of list item becomes more then nine then you repeat the process and also repeat it if necessary with length of list item #, but you shouldn't need more then what was shown in my example template)
and then, to read it, you get the list item, and then read [length of length of list item] amount ahead of itself, and then you should get the length of the list item, and then using the length of the list item, you can read that amount ahead, and then you have your list item, and then if there is more text beyond the length of list item says, then you know that it will be another item in the list.
