Crowdsourced data? #31

What are the standards to follow for data sources?

For example, an app I work on consumes this repo and we've started soliciting information on missing office hours from users. We got the first contribution yesterday, and it seems the info may have been obtained by calling the office. I can't find the hours on the official website.

So, are we limiting this repo to data that can be verified by an official web source? Or for non-required fields can we rely on crowdsourcing and/or verbal confirmation?

Thanks!

I think we could include crowdsourced info for fields that have no other public source.

However, lacking a way to verify or maintain this data, I wouldn't necessarily expect it to survive a bulk or automated update.
