Linux: mic almost does not work, game rarely hears anything #748

Phantom Hourglass, at some points of the game you have to blow/shout to the mic to progress. My mic works (tested with other apps) and desmume indeed opens it (as shown by audio control panel), but the game almost never registers sound.
Desmume version: gitb06537c

Edit: playing with mic test in the game I could not figure out the pattern when it works, it seems to be random. Sometimes test shows full volume when there was no sound and vice versa. But most of the time it shows nothing.

Select a save file and then click options at the bottom, mic test button should be on the options screen.

Ok, it seems that it's the pipewire alsa interface problem, I changed openal settings to use pipewire/pulseaudio directly and now mic test works fine.
