specifying a unit's channel when extracting waveforms or computing quality metrics

Hi,

I've a binary recording from 16-electrode bundles, where each electrode typically records different spikes/units, and the sorting is done manually for each channel separately. I want to use SI to compute objective quality metrics for each unit separately. It seems useful to specify the channel of each sorted unit when extracting waveform and computing quality metrics. Is that possible?

Yes. You can do this.
Maye your own sorting using NumpySorting object
Then run extract_waveforms().
Then you can run the quality mertics.

I did create a NumpySorting object and I ran extract_waveforms() according to the tutorials but I don't see an option to specify each unit's channel. I understood that you choose the channel with the "most negative" template amplitude. I'm wondering if I can overwrite this by explicitly specifying the channel.
