What build of DuckieTV are you using (Standlone / Chrome Extension (New Tab / Browser Action))
...Standalone

What version of DuckieTV are you using (Stable 1.1.x / Nightly yyyymmddHHMM)
...1.1.5

What is your Operating System (Windows, Mac, Linux, Android)
...Windows

Describe the problem you are having and steps to reproduce if available
...Unable to use WebTorrent Desktop as my torrent downloader

Attach any DuckieTV statistics or Developer Console logs if available
...

Adding WebTorrent Desktop would be a huge plus as many people are using that now, or at least be able to select the exe file that you would like to use.

It's open source https://github.com/webtorrent/webtorrent

The guy also has a talk about how he built it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3w_6dfqrpzk

I really hope webtorrent gets more support

Hi SchizoDuckie, and everyone else,

I second creating an interface to the webtorrent browser extension add-ons and their desktop client.

WebTorrent API Documentation
https://webtorrent.io/docs

Here is a use case scenario: Everyone knows you should be using a VPN connection whenever using torrents, really for anything Internet-related, but what if you cannot afford a system-wide VPN provider and want to use a browser-based VPN provider with DuckieTV? If you use DuckieTV and its torrent features with a browser-based VPN, the external desktop torrent client application is not protected by the browser VPN. But, if everything was inter-acting through the browser with a browser vpn and some web-based, browser-based, torrent client it would be protected.

There are already many excellent desktop torrent client apps which DuckieTV already connects with, but unless you are using a system-wide VPN provider you are taking a big risk using some features like torrent downloading.

Regards,
Phil (phd21)
