At very least we should document that setting this is necessary.
It'd be nicer if it wasn't necessary.

Is it only used for unit tests? What is it in fact used for? Can we instead detect the path based on the currently running file or something?

Maybe it's not as easy to do without as I thought. So for now let's just document it in the readme
