Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

This is an accessibility feature that we Will Need at some point.

Describe your suggestion

Basically we need suggestions for how to implement a mode for Heaven Studio that's easy on everybody's eyes, regardless of the vfx used in an actual remix. There will be a mode to straight disable all vfx and custom textures, but we need suggestions for intermediate modes, where you can still experience some of the intended vfx without it being too intense.

Describe alternatives you've considered

An epilepsy warning would be good to have, alongside a toggle in the editor to mark any level as "has flashing images".

A no-epilepsy mode would probably be, uhh...

  • There would be things that a no-epilepse mode won't be able to change. eg, rapidly switching back and forth between two minigames.
  • Some authors might dislike how this mode ruins their level's visuals. Also if someone made a VFX-based gameplay gimmick, it won't work if the user turned on a no-epilepsy mode.

i get what you're saying here, and we can try to come up with a workaround for that too

tbh "ruining chart visuals" is kinda the point here. it's more important to remain playable to everybody, even if sometimes they may look less interesting in the process. plus, if a chart is made unfair by removing vfx, that means it's also not blind-friendly which is another accessibility no-no by itself.
