Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe

Indexer fails to work when linked site goes down (obviously).

Describe the solution you'd like

Indexers currently have a list of base URLs to select, usually at least one works. Prowlarr would ideally periodically test the indexers, if it fails then it cycles through recommended URLs for that indexer until one works. For example, available URLs for an indexer are abc.com and abc.net. abc.com is selected and works initially. It fails 2 days later and when this is detected Prowlarr selects abc.net, which is working.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Currently manually check failed indexers and find a working URL.

And what if a user doesn't want a certain site to be used or it cannot be used?

what if all alt URLs fail?

when should the url be reset to the user selected one? Should it?

healthchecks already can notify the user when an indexer fails and is down and then the user can act on it

What and how many trackers are constantly failing multiple times a day that need their URLs consistently changed often?

### And what if a user doesn't want a certain site to be used or it cannot be used?
Since the URLs are there already for the indexers, I assume they are reliable/trusted? Personally I don't mind which site is used as long as the indexer works. There could be an option to enable the feature so that those who don't want it can leave it off.

what if all alt URLs fail?

It could have a wait time (such as 24 hours) then try again.

when should the url be reset to the user selected one? Should it?
Wait 24 hours then start the cycle process.

Multiple indexers fail, perhaps once or twice a week (TorrentGalaxy does it commonly for me). I'm actually using Jackett currently (which also lacks auto switching) as it allows you to click on the base URLs to check if they work and add manual URLs, unlike Prowlarr.

I use Plex, Sonarr, Radarr, Bazarr and Jackett/Prowlarr with the aim of maximising automation but out of all of them Jackett/Prowlarr requires the most manual intervention.

which other trackers besides torrentgalaxy - which is very shitty in that it comically lies about seed counts & also constantly is changing their URL?

It's a lot of effort for a problem that seems to only be 1 or 2 shitty public trackers out of over 500.

add manual URLs, unlike Prowlarr.

A custom YML definition can be created and used and then you can use whatever urls you want

1337x, LimeTorrents, The Pirate Bay, Torlock, Torrent Downloads, TorrentFunk. I use public indexers which have the releases I want (e.g. hevc encoded). Even though there are lots of indexers these are the ones that I found to have the releases I want.
