Parse Error when I try to install on firestick

When I install the android apk on my firestick it’s gives a parse error “there was a problem parsing the package.”

I have a feeling it has to do with the android version being targeted ... what android version is the firestick?

You are probably correct. The older Firesticks use SDK 22. Question from that is whether you actually need anything from that single version difference or you were just using the minimum standard at the time. It is 24 now, so 23 is also a little dated. Once you pass 25 even more Firesticks will no longer be supported, though the newest ones use 28
