Yes/No

Yes

Tell us about the problem

Give us a concise description of the feature you suggest or the issue you report.

After first start of Sidekick I wanted to publish our app with it. Everything seemed OK, pushed to Publish started to building, but after waiting like 30 mins it ended with a lot of errors.
After this I couldn't build either the Web or Android versions, serious error flood appeared immediately.

After two days of struggling it seems I know what happened:

  • Sidekick deleted and created a new AndroidManifest file, I lost every change
  • It created two files and changing things on the environment
  • updated the npm packages which ruined everything on web side

Since you guys are very behind of the current Angular version (9) and don't support it, I had to keep my entire app outdated, I didn't run npm update for this reason only.

Unfortunately, this stupid Sidekick DID it, WITHOUT any notice or acceptance. These should be asked before it would do these dumb updating for no reason.

We're super frustrated now we had to post-pone our internal beta testing for days, still no answer, we can't deploy the new changes on dev, it's a terrible experience.
