The PHP and MediaWiki version ranges listed are those in which Maps is known to work. Maps might also work with more recent versions of PHP and MediaWiki, though this is not guaranteed. Increases of minimum requirements are indicated in bold. For a detailed list of changes, see the release notes.

It is possible to install incompatible versions of Maps and Semantic MediaWiki on the same wiki by disabling their integration.
This can be done by setting $egMapsDisableSmwIntegration = true; in your LocalSettings.php file.
