This is a little hard to explain. With the push of a button (a new tool button) hide everything on the screen except the gamut. The gamut is usually a solid white line and the handles are white. Now pain the gamut the color of whatever is behind it on the color-wheel. Pixel by pixel. This will give a rainbow effect to the gamut. With the background hidden, the artist can see what colors were "in between" two endpoints. This may offer the artist an extra option.
Combined with the ability to save the gamut to a png or to clipboard, this feature becomes more powerful.
