Appendices not placed in back matter

PreTeXt gives warnings when appendices are placed in the main matter instead of the back matter. The problem is that when appendices are placed in the back matter, it doesn't show the sections of appendices on the content menu.

Do sections of chapters in the main matter appear in the Table of Contents sidebar? I assume you are talking about HTML output?
