how to sync changes done via admin panel

not sure if this is a thing but wondering if you guys have encountered this before where a client does changes to the code / settings.json file and then asks us(devs) to do further changes not tracked in local code... wondering if there is some type of sync tool or best practices to follow for these types of situations?

Working on that already on https://github.com/Pixel2HTML/Pixel2HTML/tree/feature/shopify-get-settings/packages/get-shopify-settings

It works but due to time I haven't yet published it/integrate to master
