In the router setup, if setting up a PC with two network cards, one going to the TPCast router, there should not be a default gateway assignment. Assigning a default gateway will cause the PC to see two default gateways and lower resolution speed of traffic from the PC because of the competing gateways. PC should only have on default gateway, and if the TPCast router is not being used to connect to the WAN, it should not be giving out or assigned any default gateways into the route table.
The assignment of 192.168.144.90/255.255.255.0 means all the 192.168.144.x traffic will go down that nic and the TPCast will still work, but the connect PC will not have competing default gateways assigned.
