I see that the 1.12 source is now public, any chance for the 1.7 source code to be released too?

I might. I'll ponder this. The code base for 1.7 is pretty messy.

Uploading the 1.7 source could help fix the bugs previously present in 1.12.2 on 1.7, which would help a lot of servers

We're still using the 1.7.10 version for GT New Horizons and would be happy to take on, or assist with, another mod for bugfixes/maintenance. We've got a few others that we try to maintain broad 1.7.10 compatibility with (NEI, as an example).

Another option, if you'd be open to it, is that we could work off the decompiled source and release that under MIT/CC-NC or any other license of your choosing. We'd like to fix some of the hacks/exploits and bugs without mixins/ASM if possible :)

We're also no stranger to messy code, we've all written our share of it ourselves!

@Nuchaz It would be very nice if you can give us an answer on this question. We can put the source as hidden project if you want.
