I have created a participatory ABM in Netlogo. However, users are unable to join the activity. They get an error that says "There is no server running at xx.xx.xxx.xx" on port xxxx.

The users entered the address and port that is showing on my "Hubnet Control Center". I am running the code on Macbook while the users are using Windows.

I asked a user to host the server from a Windows laptop and I tried to join from my Macbook and I got the same error.

I searched online but I am unable to find any relevant content on this issue.

Has someone faced the same issue? If yes, then were you able to solve it?

Thanks in advance.

Are the people connecting to your activity on the same LAN with you? Desktop's HubNet requires them to be on your local network.

If they are on the same network with you, it could be a network configuration (firewall) issue.

I was trying with one user and I and the user were on the same wifi network. It was not a wired connection though. I checked the firewall of my Macbook and it is inactive.
