I thought it would be useful to have a larger range of voice recording tips. There is a short list in the main README, but with the amount of time you are investing to record a dataset, it's well worth spending some time to optimize your recording setup and process from the start!

So this is basically a thread to collect tips and resources for recording and then we can hopefully put them somewhere more permanent soon. Prompted by a great video posted by @thorstenMueller 🎉

Hi @krisgesling .
Should i implement a feature showing "recording tipp of the day" which is chosen randomly from a SQLite table? Or is the current static recording tipp list enough to close this issue?

I think it would be a neat feature to have a tip of the day to help people improve their practice over time. Even little really simple things like from the video above:

  • "Try to keep your mouth open between phrases, {reason why}"
  • "chew gum before a session to {reason why}"

So I'd like to keep it open, but it's not critical that it happens.
