It would be wonderful if the autocomplete feature of the editor could be toggled on or off in the settings.

Why? That sounds like a workaround for some problem - the problem itself should be addressed.

The problem for me is that it's distracting and I don't want things popping up when I'm coding. I prefer to be in zen mode, and I already know all the built-in Lua and Mudlet functions so I don't need anything autocompleted for me.

I see Qt Creator has an option to toggle it to be manual/automatic activation. That'd be good to have.

@vadi2 If you think it's wise, we could hotfix in a toggle if I get one pushed out today. Otherwise, @macjabeth can use a test build with the toggle in it until the next release is ready.

I don't think it's hotfix-worthy, people are pretty happy with the functionality and it's not a major blocking bug. Next release will be great.
