Adding a link and pressing download button doesn't work anymore. It does nothing. Stays on 0%. Left it for couple of minutes but stays the same.

I'm using Windows 7 32-bit. and version 0.4.0.0 of youtube-dl-gui.

What could be the problem?

thanks!

I tried it. On my Windows 7 32-bit it doesn't work, even thought I installed ALL MS runtimes. While, on Windows 10, it works fine, with no need to install additional software like ms runtime, or .net framework.

I liked youtube-dl-gui more though. Because it worked on all systems (at least on Win 7 32 bit, which is the most primitive system which might be used today, even though some use XP still, but that's another story.

I would like for this issue to be fixed.

FireDM is written in Python and it does not need additional installations, all the needed stuff is inside the archive (lib sub-folder), just download the latest archive from Releases, extract it and run the executable file (FireDM-GUI.exe).

I believe it is safe to assume this project is abandonware. I understand this happens more often as we would like, but people do have lives to live, and sometimes that just becomes priority.

I would suggest however, that a note be made in the README stating that the project is not maintained and is just presented as-is, at the time presented. This lets us users know that we should not select the project as a software to use, but as a software for possible fork.
