great post! I am wondering what do you think of the default keybindings of vscode. I have tried to learn vim a few times but many things do not feel as intuitive (e.g. using letters instead of arrows for directions).

I don't love them, but that's pretty much expected since I prefer vim style. They took an important vim navigation key 'k' and used it in many of their default combinations.

I think there is some good stuff there though. It seems like it would be possible to use in a keyboard driven way.

What really got me going in terms of vim-style was Spacemacs, since you can always fall back to a keyboard driven menu, you can memorise little bits progressively while still being productive. There's a VSCode port of it: https://github.com/VSpaceCode/VSpaceCode
