Show Popup after api call

Hi!
This question is more about how you are using the lib.
I have a method in view model that sends requests to a server. After i get a response from the server i want to show the popup.
The problem here is what if the user closes the view right after the api request sent.
Because the Popup is not connected to specific view it will still be shown. This is an undesired result. How do you solve it?

In other words how do you cancel showing popups if the view where the popup should be shown is closed already?

At the foremost, I want to thank you for your question. I'm not fully understand it, so I would be extremely grateful if you will help me in going through it!

The problem here is what if the user closes the view right after the api request sent.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the view in this context means the view that is currently displayed on the screen - the view that lies on the, let's say, navigation stack (not a popup)?
And from I understood, the problem you're referring to, is that once the request is sent, the user decides to close the view; in this case you don't want a popup to be displayed, do you?

So, if my understanding is correct, the solution to this problem can be achieved in a several of ways:

1. You can wait for the results of the request in this view, and when they arrive, you will trigger a popup to be displayed. This means that if the view has already been closed, the popup will not be displayed.
2. The popup can also be displayed from the view model; this means that you can declare a flag there that checks whether the view has been dismissed and when the results appear, you only present the popup if the flag is set.
