Error by volumencontrol via RotaryEncoder

Hi there,
after many pages I have red, I decided to open a new discussion because I didn't find any think that helps me out.
First of all I use a Raspberry Pi 4B with 4 GB RAM. I have a fresh new Raspi OS Bullseye lite 32-bit on it.
I have used the one-line-installer. At this point I only configured the GPIO but not the RFID (don't know this matters)

As mentioned in Problem setting up Rotary Encoder #2236 I changed in the mpd.conf mixer_type to software

All buttons work fine (including the Vol 0)
but every time I use the rotary encoder the sys log gets errorevents

The rotary encoder it self seams to work fine. I tested it with the python script from newbiely.com

I already have tryed to remove the ; on functionCall1Args: 1 and functionCall2Args: 1 but I didn't see any effect.
And at this point I have no idea how to fix things. Hopefully someone else have an idea.

Hi and welcome :)

i think this has something to do with the addition from #2266 .
I've seen this error during implementation on other buttons, but the test where fine for the rotary. Maybe missed something.
I get one in the next days, so i will be able to test it out with the real hardware.

i finally got the hardware and looked into this. I identified the problem and created a PR #2355 with the fixes. I think this will get merged soon.
