[Split Tab] API to Check if Split Screen Feature is Enabled

I am developing a web application that needs to determine if the split screen feature is activated when the app is launched. The closest reference I could find is this proposal for an API to target navigation at split tab.

Is there a similar solution/workaround that would allow developers to check if the split screen feature is enabled in Microsoft Edge ?

My 2 cents, and this is without knowing much about the proposal, I think giving developers a way to detect if their sites are running in a split tab would go against security (fingerprinting) best practices and is unlilkely to be done.

Browser extension should have access to split tab. Currently we can't even refresh right side...
