The documentation states within the introduction that "There's no restriction on how endpoints of different types are combined in a single Traffic Manager profile. Each profile can contain any mix of endpoint types."
However, the Azure Portal and ARM API both prohibit mixing an Azure Endpoint and External Endpoint within the Traffic Manager profile as of 5/14/2024 (see attached screenshot).
The documentation should be updated to reflect the fact that endpoints cannot currently be freely mixed.
