It would be very helpful to have support to save/load savestates (like it's already possible to do in NES, GB and GBA MiSTer cores).

People tends now to have less time than 20 years ago to finish games and being able to save the current game state and come back to resume it some days later would be very a great feature :).

+1. It shouldn't be easy, but if there is a chance to do it, it would be very interesting.

OK folks, two things:

  1. There is nothing new or interesting about this feature request - we all know what it is, we would all like to see it. It does not need to be listed here, nor on any of the 200+ other cores which don't have this capability. It also probably requires another complete rewrite of the core (which was done in 2020), and that's a pretty large ask and a rare capability.

  2. Adding "+1" comments is not really not helpful. Don't do this. Nobody is voting for anything.

My suggestion is to close this ticket as it is not an “issue” in the core. Instead, create a discussion about it in the misterfpga forum

Better not to close as tomorrow another user will open such issue again. Who reads closed issues? ;)
