The new LIFX Z does contain multiple lights which can be controlled individually by using MultiZone packets. In order to make use of them this has to be implemented. Documentation can be found here.

I'm interested in trying to help. I've added a comment about this on #40.

This is in progress. Based on quick testing everything is working but I haven't yet had time to write any unit tests. If you want to give some feedback on the implementation details: master...ristomatti:multizone

I see this is in the development branch with no documentation. Can we get it pushed to the master branch and add some documentation? Thanks for your work on this, it is great!

@MariusRumpf I've been wondering about this also but I guess you've just been too busy?

@ristomatti I was awaiting feedback if this could be published. If somebody want's to test this, write some tests and documentation I will merge it and publish it.
As you guested I don't have time to do that on my own, plus I don't own a LIFX Z or a LIFX Plus to test any new feature.

Unless somebody volunteers earlier, I should have time to do this next week when I'll be on vacation. I believe I've already written unit tests for the functionality. I could then also look into #57.

@MariusRumpf have you tried contacting LIFX in case they'd be interested in sponsoring the project by shipping you a Z strip for development? :) node-lifx is a part of many different home automation platforms after all.

I have the LIFX Z and LIFX + at home, still need to find some time to make it work with Homey but would like to help / test for the Homey app wich uses the lifx node module @ristomatti /@MariusRumpf
