Is there an option for not uninstalling before executing tests?

We have a complex setup and the registration needs to be done only once. I know about the option of forking and creating a Sorting Strategy but I'm just wondering if I can fix it by changing my jenkins scripts to run the registration first and then the other tests. But the uninstall broke this idea :(

It seems like a bad idea: uninstall is there to make sure the installed version is exactly the one you specify in configuration

I understand the purpose of the uninstall.
Maybe let me question this in a different way. How would you organise your tests if you need to do a "complex"/slow registration before running a batch of tests? Is the SortingStrategy the way to go here?

I assume by registration you mean something that executes before running the actual tests. If that’s the case for each and every test in your test run, then I’d use a custom RunListener and override the testRunStarted method with the logic of initialization for each test that is expected to run.

If this was something related only to a specific test class that a TestRule would be a better fit.
