We are about to switch to the Chaotic repository for most of our AUR packages. However, not all of them are built and available in this repository.

Packages to request:

  • gamescope-session-git gamescope-session-steam-git
  • krathalans-apparmor-profiles-git
  • linux-fsync-nobara-bin
  • mbpfan-git
  • opengamepadui-bin opengamepadui-session-git
  • paru-static
  • python-iniparse crudini
  • zerotier-gui-git

Packages accepted:

  • gamescope-session-git gamescope-session-steam-git
  • krathalans-apparmor-profiles-git
  • mbpfan-git
  • opengamepadui-bin opengamepadui-session-git
  • python-iniparse crudini
  • zerotier-gui-git

Packages rejected:

  • linux-fsync-nobara-bin (not a good fit for Chaotic because there are other similar kernels, it is a binary package, and it is a Fedora kernel not an Arch Linux kernel)
  • paru-static (due to build issues)

Packages to NOT request:

  • apfsprogs-git linux-apfs-rw-dkms-git = too experimental
  • fatx = too troublesome to build and maintain for upgrades. Might not be an issue if it is being rebuilt daily or hourly (which is how Chaotic does it)
  • reiserfs-defrag = being deprecated
  • snapd = rejected already, view the Chaotic README.md for more details
  • ssdfs-tools = too niche

'crudini' is now newer and actively maintained again.
