One thing that's very important that people keep bringing up is controller support. #222 |

A minimal image (to go alongside our existing performance and secure images) is also a highly requested feature. #254 |

Here are our current goals for 3.1.0 in the order of what should be implemented first:
Would love to get input from the community on these goals and hear what people want to see in this and future releases. |

I don't know if CI/CD image means an ISO with an installer but I think this is crucial for the project to take off. Also, I don't know how feasible it would be, but something like a Windows installer where Windows users just run it and have a dual boot (akin to what Q4OS does) by the end would be seriously amazing. |

Great idea! Having an ISO with an installer could be a goal for 3.2.0 and then in 3.3.0 we can investigate dual-boot scenarios (which I imagine will be very hard). A lot of our goals for the upcoming 3.1.0 release are plumbing work needed before we can make an ISO. Two technologies I've been briefly looking into for installers are (1) Archiso and (2) Calamares. Combined, these (in theory) should give us everything we need. We will then ship the ISO based on our upcoming minimal image. CI/CD support is separate from an ISO image. CI/CD stands for Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment. It will ensure we continue to ship rock-solid releases easier and faster.

I almost forgot about our "Major Upgrade Update". I want to support upgrades from winesapOS 2 to 3. I hate projects that do not have an upgrade path for older versions. We probably have at least 5 users using version 2 and I do not want to leave them in the dust. As it is now, here is what our roadmap looks like:

We recently released 3.1.0-alpha.0 and it already has lots of huge changes: better Intel and NVIDIA graphics support, our own winesapOS repository, and a switch to Flatpaks. Instead of doing HUGE releases, I am thinking that we should also put controller support into 3.1.0, polish up some minor bugs and features, and then ship 3.1.0 as the "Flatpak Update". Then 3.2.0 can be "The Builders Update". |

We are going to ship 3.0.0 stable really soon. I want to gather community feedback about what features are most important and make sure to prioritize those.
I was originally tracking it in a GitHib Issue (#247) but a GitHub Discussion makes more sense to open up the conversation to a wider audience.
