Mine was reinstalling the old driver before I could even get the patched driver to finish installing was a real headache.
Not matter what I did. I edited group policies to stop it and many other hacks etc etc but the dam driver would reinstall right after DDU removed it.
Here is how I got past it:
win+x -> device manage
find the realtec audio device under sound
right click -> update driver
choose "Browse my computer"
choose "Let me pick from a list...."
choose "Have disk" and browse to the win64 folder of the patched driver and hit ok (just letting it pick the first inf file).
Now its all good because windows was told what driver to use.
I turn off the windows auto update drivers but every time I reboot my PC, windows will replace to locked drivers
