i edited the about-author post in _posts and it build fine but when i edit Getting started post it has build error but doesnt say what error

I get similar problem.

When I rename the original files under _posts, I can only edit the content but not the filename.

I hope this can be fixed as long as I want to remove the old posts come together with Lagrange

Okay so, for anyone in the same position I was, I worked around this issue via the following:

1. The only post that can be fully deleted is the text_formatting one. For the rest simply delete their contents and rename the files (using the same date and title structure as in the example posts).
2. For the time being, I've relabeled two of the post that cannot be deleted as "potential posts" which I will fill out at a later date.

In your fork, I cannot see the original examples at all? How did you made that happen @jamesholehouse

I initially deleted the original files... To which I got the errors stated above. Then I re-added the post and removed them carefully one-by-one. In the end there was no error, not sure why--could be an issue with Jekyll?

Was experience this issue as well - I couldn't delete template posts without a build error. Just solved this by referencing @jamesholehouse commits. I believe the coding referencing in the "about.md" of files "2015-10-10-getting-started" and "2014-01-01-text-formatting-examples" causes a break in the file structure.

To solve: Reformat "about.md" located in "../menu" to include whats below only then save. After this step delete the template posts.
