As a follow-up to PR #1316, work is required to refactor the source implementation behind the following tests and examples that still rely on unified memory to function:

  • quest DistributedClosestPoint
  • quest SignedDistance
  • quest MeshTester
  • quest IntersectionShaper
  • spin ImplicitGrid (getCandidates() function call)
  • mint for_all_cells/ for_all_nodes/ for_all_faces (???)

Additional refactor for mint traversals suggested:
