As far as I know, there is no such feature available.

Initially to in the Extended kit first.
Should be doable with the wizard thingy, but with the next and previous being transparent buttons with a hover image (That is themed!)

To do this, would opacity need to be added to a KButton?

Not sure,
how about a hover over translucent colour should do the trick.
The real thing would be to have the hover over animate into visibility.
