I cannot reproduce the issue.
I also have no idea what could cause this problem on your device.

I have installed compass on a Samsung S8+ and on a Pixel 7 (Android 14). At the first time the devices don't vibrate.
In order to get this working I had to modify some settings on both devices.

It may be necessary to enable vibration for user feedback as described here https://support.google.com/accessibility/android/answer/9078946?hl=en.
The app uses HapticFeedbackConstants.VIRTUAL_KEY with the description "The user has pressed on a virtual on-screen key." to perform the haptic feedback.
