all my requests disappeared

when i open my app i see all my saved request on the left column.

there is nothing there

there was an update that happened automatically that erased all my data:

I have the same issue.

Ubuntu 22.04.

Issue existed before and then after upgrading to 8.6.1

I was able to restore my data by opening Insomnia, clicking Export data and more -> Export All Data Files.

Then I logged in and clicked Application -> Preferences -> Data -> Import to the Insomnia Project

Then I imported, one by one, the files that were generated with the export.

This is silly. I had been considering setting up my tests using Insomnia, but this is the 3rd time my data has disappeared since the log-in feature was added.

Hi @johndavidmullen in the Preferences > Data do you see any untracked projects?

Also in the same panel do you see any files in the Export all data (NUMBER files) button?

@jaketeater this means your data are still there but you cant view them.
Were there any data in the Untracked projects section? If so it means you probably logged in with another account?

I logged in with the same account. I was able to see projects, but there was nothing inside them (until I imported the data)

If this happens again, I will take screenshots.

In Preferences there is no section for Untracked Projects (I assume because I don't have any?)

I don't know if this is related, and perhaps this is the expected behavior. But logging in doesn't stick and I am greeted with the login screen every time I open Insomnia

@jaketeater thanks for the info.
When you close and open the app again it's not supposed to log you out so that looks like an issue here.
If this is still happening for you can I ask you to help me debug this?

• When the app opens toggle the devtools
• Go to Application > Local Storage and check if there is a currentSessionId set.
