Hi.I meet the same situation that **“QML Image Failed ”**as you when I turn .png to .jpg
it can Erase but can not display image
it seems that made by QT
so I guess there is something wrong with Picture encoding

Color images are loaded and displayed correctly, but monochrome images aren't.

Just confirmed this bug only happens when the image is in JPG format and monochrome.

• Color JPG image: works fine
• Monochrome JPG image: doesn't load
• Color PNG image: works fine
• Monochrome PNG image: works fine

Workaround for now would be converting everything to png
