  • $<n> syntax

    • $1 refers to first argument
    • $2 refers to second argument
    • $<n> refers to the nth argument (must be a number)

  • $ syntax

    • $ refers to first argument
    • $$ refers to second argument
    • $$$ refers to third argument
    • and so on...

  • Known offsets can be directly replaced with local loads

  • Unknown offsets must be compiled into a loadarg instruction which does bounds checking
