Hi,
I was thinking about adding to docker page about running it on a system with SELinux in enforced state, which is default for RHEL-based distros. Without the
:z
label, access is denied for asf to create files inside mounted volume. The second is about running in rootless podman where root user from container is in most cases user 1000 on host machine, and 1000 from container is mapped to 100999. After running in such config, mounted folder is owned on host system by user 100999. On podman it is possible to run with option
--userns keep-id
so the files are still owned by correct user on host system, or with--uidmap
.Both of these option seems to be not available on docker.
podman create \ --label io.containers.autoupdate=registry \ --name $cont \ --userns keep-id \ -v /media/btrfs/containers/data/asf:/app/config \ docker.io/justarchi/archisteamfarm:latest
