Copy flow from master and paste to branch in same project actually cut the associated model and pasted not copy

While trying to copy a flow from the master version and paste into a branch within the same project, the model associated with the flow (only used by this flow) actually was cut and pasted to the branch. It was removed from the master version. The flow copied fine just the model appeared to be impacted.
